After record-shattering Dangal performance and Bareilly Ki Barfi success, director and adman Nitesh Tiwari is busy collecting awards this year and latest one to adorn his collection is an IIFA trophy for Best Screenplay (Bareilly Ki Barfi).
“Always feels good to be recognized for the work you’ve done. It shows the kind of love making your way. This award is special because my children are accompanying and saw me receiving the award in person for the first time”, Tiwari told GW at Nexa IIFA Awards Styled by Myntra Green Carpet.
There’s a good news for the fans of the Dangal director. Nitesh shared that he has finalized the next script and will soon begin working on it soon. “My next movie is a campus film and it is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. I will be starting to work on it by the end of this year”, he informed.
“I usually have a human angle in my movies, humour, emotions, relationships and a lot of characters, you can expect all of it from my make.”
So should Tiwari and his fans expect a Dangal-like performance from his next too? The ace director doesn’t think so.
“It is unfair to expect Dangal-like success from every film that I do. Dangal was a unique combination of a lot of things falling in place together. So to have a repeat of its success, that kind of combination has to happen again!”, he asserted.
