UrbanClap has announced partnership with Snapdeal to touch lives of underprivileged children and give a noble meaning to the celebrations around Christmas and New Year.
Over 25 leading NGOs from across the country are participating in this unique activity that is being executed by ‘Snapdeal Sunshine’ – an in-kind donation platform.
As a part of the initiative, UrbanClap and Snapdeal are inviting customers to donate ‘Happiness Boxes’ to selected NGOs via the ‘Snapdeal Sunshine’ platform to help them arrange and plan the Christmas as well as New Year celebration parties for the kids they look after. Furthermore, those who contribute their share will receive official invites to attend these events at the location of the NGO chosen by them.
One can visit the Snapdeal website and select an option on top of the screen which says ‘Santa for underprivileged kid’. All the NGOs are listed here.
On being asked why UrbanClap chose Snapdeal for the CSR partnership, Varun Khaitan, Co-Founder, UrbanClap, told GW, ““Reason for doing this with Snapdeal is that they have an extremely strong and evolved program to support NGOs. With our objectives to contribute to the society aligning and our deep integration already in place, the partnership decision was fairly easy.”
“It is the season of celebrations and what better way to spread warmth and cheer, than to bring smiles on the faces of children. We are excited and thankful to all our partners, and our customers for helping us in ring in Christmas and New Year in a very special and meaningful way”, Rajnish Wahi, Senior Vice President , Corporate Affairs & Communication, Snapdeal, informed.
Last date for donations is January 5, 2017.
