“Most people perceive things in a conventional manner, because that’s what they are conditioned to do. My work aims to break that perception and encourage the spirit of exploring beyond the apparent. Hence, whilst most of my work is not abstract and the imagery is identifiable, what is not readily identifiable are the emotions hidden beneath every stroke of charcoal. My value proposition is not just the tangible benefit of aesthetics, but also an experiential offering of inspiring people to seek beyond the apparent”, Chakravarty shared with GW.

USP – Unique Soul Point

Is art the product of one’s environment (the concept of ‘mimesis’ from Ancient Greece) or can the reverse be true? Does art change our perception of how we see our surroundings? Exactly what Nilanjan seeks to explore and uncover in his art.
